HAWAI'I: DAY 7
Tuesday November 21, 2017
Every Thing. Unbeknownst to me, this movie basically encompassed my entire trip. This girl has an illness that suppresses her immune system, preventing her from going outside. A boy moves in next door, they fall in love, and she runs away with him…to Hawaii. I watched the sunrise over Massachusetts and sipped on in-flight ginger ale as the plane descended into Boston.
The plane landed at 7:10AM. I made my way to baggage claim and called home while I waited for the luggage carousel to start unloading. My bags came out within about five minutes of each other and I set out into the cold to wait for the Silver Line.
AND OH MY GOD WAS IT COLD!!
Over the years, I’ve been acquainting myself with Logan Airport, but South Station I know. MacDonald’s breakfast was my fist stop. Four hash browns and two kid’s bottles of milk later, I ate by the schedule board waiting for the Commuter Rail. I barely even made the 8:55AM to Kingston, and the ticket taker gave me grief for not purchasing my ticket at the station because he had to charge me extra.
Despite what the signs dictate, I took up an entire seat with all my luggage!
My train rolled into Hanson at 9:35AM.
Back to real life. No matter how much it sucks…I’ll always have Hawaii.
