80 DAY OBSESSION - DAY 1

DAY 1
TOTAL BODY CORE

I did not want to get out of bed this morning.

Whenever there's something I absolutely have to get up for, I always set four alarms, blaring obnoxious bagpipes. The first two I never remember - sometimes even the third - but by the fourth, I'm usually awake. Such was the case this morning, only I could've easily rolled over and slept for three more hours!

I got up and hour after I'd planned, then as I was getting ready to head upstairs for breakfast, Tessa, one of my cats, comes flying through my open window from the enclosed porch. I let her out that way last night and forgot to close it. She loves to lay on my bed while I pet her, complete with happy purr. So that was another 10 minutes. Then our youngest twin grays, Josie and Willow run up to the window to investigate, then jump in and out.

I didn't have breakfast until 10:00AM.

Then had to immediately start my the workout I was supposed to wait an hour for. I've been struggling with vertigo all year, and had a Physical Therapy appointment at 12:45PM that I forgot about, so I was crunched for time.

I took my before photos and set up airplay to follow today's workout from Beach Body On Demand from my television instead of my laptop.

The workout was surprisingly easy. I made a few modifications for ability and lack of resistance bands, but I think it went pretty well. Working out with Amber is like catching up with an old friend. Each workout is live and she interacts with the cast and audience informally and makes it go by so much faster.

Only set back is that I forget to count, so I'd find myself just going along with what they're doing, stopping when they stop and letting her count for me, even if I happen to be ahead or, more likely, behind.

After my shower, I only had a few minutes to air dry before stuffing my damp body into a bra, tight undershirt and jeans. Made me feel great, I gotta say. I did my make-up in the car on the way over. Only then did I realize I'd left my yogurt in the fridge.

No 12:00PM snack.

My mom and I went food shopping after a quick stop at Wal-Mart for  a new exercise mat. I finally ate lunch when we got home around 3:30PM, complete with forgotten yogurt.

I was planning on taking Mom to see Frankenstein with Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Frankenstein and Johnny Lee Miller as the monster.

I've been putting off exercise for two months while working weekends at King Richard's Faire. After one day selling tickets, I was beat. It took the entire week to recover from The Faire while still doing PT and trying to function in daily life. This vertigo thing is really frustrating. Choosing work, health or fun over exercise. I can't keep putting it off, or I'm never going to make the vertigo fit into the my life instead of taking over completely.

Today, I chose me. No movie tonight.

There's always next season.

3-HOUR NAP!

I knew this working out thing was gonna be tough. I get tired being out of the house for a few hours, adding exercise to the mix is just asking to pass out in them middle of the day. I'll get there...it's just gonna take a while.

I tried picspamming Supernatural 14.02, but the sites weren't cooperating, so I read fan fiction.

...until 1:30AM

Went to bed at 2:00AM.

Day 1, I'll do better...

On the upside: I only had 1,200 calories, sodium's not an issue anymore and I hit my protein goal for the day!
